Glossary

SP - Silver Plated. May also be listed as silver-dipped, silver overlay.

GP - Gold Plated. May also be listed as gold-dipped, gold overlay.

Platinum/Rhodium Overlays - Often silver and white gold jewelry are dipped in a platinum or rhodium overlay to enhance their brilliance and reduce the silver's natural tendency to tarnish. This gives you more wear without having to polish the silver for a long time. 

Rose Gold Overlays  Rose gold plating, or overlay, is basically an alloy metal (silver, copper, brass, zinc, aluminum) that has been dipped in rose gold. So it must be treated as any other plated jewelry to keep its color for as long as possible. 

Silver Chloride - Another way of saying Tarnishing. 

Copper Sulfide - Another way of saying Patina.

Returns, exchanges, cancellations

- Contact us immediately
- Request a cancellation within: 1 hour of purchase
- We do not accept items for exchange.

The following items cannot be returned:

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Gift Cards/Certificates (physical)
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads (gift cards/certificates)
  • Earrings (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Personal items (lingerie, perfumes, body products. Health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on Final Sale or Clearance

Return Policy

I want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. But sometimes, that is not always the case. You may not like the color, it may not fit you, it might just not be your style. Yep! It happens! You may request a return of your item within 7 days after receipt of your shipment if you change your mind. Please contact me BEFORE you ship your package.    Items that are shipped back without prior authorization of return will not be accepted.

Buyer is responsible for the shipping costs of returning the item, except in the cases where the mistake is ours, eg. sending the wrong item.  Piece must be unworn, unaltered and undamaged with the original packaging, and tags attached. Please use a proper shipping box and packaging to insure that piece is returned to us the way it was sent. When received, it will be inspected to make sure it is in good resalable condition.

- For items that are returned unopened, unworn, and undamaged, you will be refunded the original purchase price, minus the shipping charges, as that cannot be recouped.

- For items that are opened, tags removed, show signs of wear, you will be refunded the original purchase price minus the shipping charges, and a 20% restocking fee.

- Items that are received that are damaged in shipping will be refunded the full purchase of the item (proof of damage to outer box, packaging, item, etc. is required before refund is issued).

MADE TO ORDER PRINTED PRODUCTS and CUSTOM PERSONALIZED JEWELRY:
  These products are made to order and there are no refunds or exchanges unless product is damaged in shipping (eg, broken mug). Cancellations are accepted within 1 hour of placing order. After that, order CANNOT be cancelled. It may take a little longer to receive your item because of the personalization involved. It will usually take 1-5 business days AFTER CREATION (approx. 2-3 days) to receive your item.

Shipping

Handmade and Crystal Pave Jewelry:

Products in our Handmade Jewelry will ship separately from our other products since they come directly from the artist's studio. They usually ship within 1-3 days after receipt of order and payment. Patricia Bowe Designs ships USPS First Class Mail throughout the United States. Orders over $100.00 ship free (US orders only). 

NOTE: Shipping delivery dates issued are AFTER the processing of your order. While most orders go out within 1 business day, we have been seeing an uptick in orders so please allow at least 2 business days for processing of your order. Once your order ships, shipping/arrival dates given by the USPS are an ESTIMATED delivery time. The 3-day shipping is NOT a guarantee. Holidays, bad weather, and other circumstances may/may not cause your order to be delivered before or after the 3-day period. See lost/missing items for more information below.

Fashion/Fine Jewelry Products

Products from our fashion/fine jewelry products will ship separately from the handmade items. Other items, most notably, the moissanite jewelry, may take longer because they are imported.  Products coming from these locations will ship within 5-7 business days. Usually, they ship earlier than that, but please allow for the specified time for processing before inquiring about your order. Again, Moissanite jewelry is imported, so they may take longer. 

When placing your order, please make sure your address is correct and is recognized by the USPS system.

DAMAGED ITEMS:
All items are visually inspected before they are packaged and shipped. In the rare event that your item does arrive damaged, contact me immediately. Please provide a photo of the package/item if the item has arrived damaged for assessment before a refund is issued.

LOST/MISSING ITEMS:

For items that never reach their destination after 30 days and is NOT marked as delivered, we will refund the original purchase price of the item MINUS shipping costs that cannot be recouped. 

If you contact us about a lost/missing package, but our records list your order as "Delivered", a refund cannot be issued. If this is the case, here are a few things to try to locate your package:

-Sometimes the post office will mark the item delivered and deliver it the next day (this has happened to me on many occasions)
-Check around the perimeter of your house to see if the carrier left it somewhere other than the front porch or door (I've found packages left behind my holly bush, so it happens.)
-Check with your neighbors to see if they have your package.
-Contact your local post office and file a lost/stolen claim.
-Contact your police department and file a stolen mail report.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:

We are not accepting international orders at this time.


International orders are subject to VAT and customs laws. This store does NOT collect VAT payments or customs fees.

Requests to identify the package as "Gift" is illegal and will not be accepted. Please be aware that you are responsible for all VAT and customs fees that may incur. 

Items shipped outside of the United States may incur additional shipping fees and longer delivery time. Shipping fees may need to be adjusted to reflect country of delivery. Please have this in mind  when you are ordering jewelry as the shipping charge may be adjusted when processing. 

Additional Information

Keep jewelry away from children and pets. Do not put jewelry in your mouth or allow children or pets to put the jewelry pieces in their mouths. Clothes should be lightly washed or rinsed before wearing.

Our products list the metals that are used in the piece and materials used in the production of our accessories and apparel products. We are NOT responsible for allergic reactions that may occur when wearing these items. If you find that you are allergic to any of the metals or components, please remove and seek medical attention immediately. 

All of my handmade pieces are created in a smoke-free environment. Please keep in mind that the photos on this website may show products smaller or larger than their actual size. Colors may be slightly different for various reasons including, but not limited to lighting, computer's color capability, bead dye lot at the time of the jewelry's creation, etc.

All logos, photos, designs, patterns, etc. are the sole property of Patricia Lynne Bowe (Patricia Bowe Designs) and are not to be used outside of this boutique without permission. You may not copy, modify, transmit, distribute, display, perform, reproduce, license, create or recreate derivative works from, transfer or sell any information, products or services from this shop without the express written permission of the owner/artist of this shop. To do so is a violation of copyright law and will be treated as such. Patterns purchased from this store or the Etsy store are for personal use only and may NOT be reproduced and sold or taught anywhere without EXPRESS WRITTEN PERMISSION from the creator.
